This is a full length album by Jenny "Meatballs" Carrington or Baby J.
100% of proceeds from the Metamorphic Album (on Spotify and iTunes now) will be donated to non-profit organization FREEDOM2FIT, INC.
Jenny has prepared for this moment her entire life by:
-training intensively for a triple-threat (dance, sing, act) debut since she was 3 years old (huge shoutout to Coupe Theatre Studio)
-studying poetry, lyricism, video production, and cultural relativism in NYC, LA, & worldwide
-partnering with transformative organizations to make sure her music and art is dedicated to a massive shift in the global paradigm toward a focus on positive youth development, empowerment for all genders, and thriving of families and communities
In 2017, Jenny received the first lofty investment in her entrepreneurial career by a fifth generation Rockefeller. She then faced an enormous amount of stigma, discrimination, retaliation and exclusion from social philanthropy and investment circles because of her mental health challenges. She was hospitalized for 10 days at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where she was strapped down to a wooden bed and injected with a sedative. This experience affected her nervous system and changed her brain chemistry forever.
In 2018, Jenny bounced back by

Do a little yoga today. You don't need to be strong or flexible. You just need to breathe.
If you can breathe you can transform, and if you can transform, YOU ARE METAMORPHIC.
This is a full length album by Jenny "Meatballs" Carrington or Baby J with the very specific purpose of empowering people of all genders, but especially women to be completely true to themselves, release the shame and impossible standards society boxes them into, and express themselves fully and wholeheartedly. A trend is coming forward with young women where they transcend the stereotypical woman defined in a current society that has been mostly seen through a male gaze. Jenny (aka Baby J, aka Jenny Meatballs) is a true renaissance woman. She can sing, dance, rap and write as well as (shockingly) think freely and philosophically for herself.
Releasing the SMASH debut single has helped her be reminded that she can and will shatter glass ceilings and emboss her own path in the world and knowing that she will define how to live her life not by others. Supporting her further exploration into a full-length album is an invitation to participate directly in the empowerment of girls, women, and even the regeneration of Mother Earth by honoring the divine feminine in each and every one of us. SMASH gave her the confidence she needed to bring her rap game into the pop-realm with Rockin' Chair - the catchiest hook of 2018.

In 2008, Jenny's stepfather passed away from brain cancer leaving her family in financial shambles from medical bills and leaving Jenny to navigate how to be a strong role-model for her 12 siblings (including a newborn at that time) - she's still working on that everyday but she hopes that introducing her siblings to the magic of positive thinking and freedom of expression will be her lasting family legacy.
In 2011, Jenny was raped for the first time. After that, as well as moving out to LA from NYC completely alone to pursue her dreams of becoming a performer, she experienced several other instances of sexual assault and she now suffers from bipolar disorder and PTSD from complex rape-trauma. The physiological symptoms of these disorders makes it difficult for her to hold a full-time job. However, her healing process through yoga and therapeutic expression and positive psychology has been incredibly motivating to create even deeper and more impactful art and socially conscious business.
In 2013, after completing her Master's coursework from Fordham University (the last requirement she needed to get her degree), her unique interdisciplinary program was dismantled, leaving her without an academic mentor for over a year. As it turns out, she pushed and pushed and pushed for many months until a different department head agreed to take her on as a mentee. In 2014, she was able to successfully turn in her Master's thesis paper on the very same day of filming her first MTV show (she had to request special permission to bring her laptop on set).
In 2015, after a lot of therapy and some back and forth between LA and NYC, Jenny was nearly bankrupt and found herself without a stable place to live even though she was holding several part-time jobs. Instead of giving up, she applied for a yoga teacher training scholarship so that she could forward Freedom2Fit, Inc's mission of bringing yoga to youth. She was accepted in the Santa Monica program intensive that started 5 days later. With very little cash on hand, she packed up her VW beetle and drove across country and raised almost 2,000 on the way out for the other half of her certification
In 2016, after helping a friend try to complete a nearly impossible hiking feat, Jenny found herself back in NYC thanks to the help of some dear friends but couldn't hold her waitressing job because of severe panic attacks. So she decided instead to volunteer as a co-leader of the Spirit Caravan to Standing Rock and is now producing what she hopes to be a full feature-length documentary called Rise Like the Water: The People's Fight for Freedom.
